The results of quality healthcare are dependent on the adherence of patients to the healthcare regimes which are recommended to them (Haskard-Zolnierek, 2012). However, it is a distinct possibility that the pill box might just be opened and the medication not actually taken according to prescription. Below are some interventions which might help in gaining patient adherence. Simplifying regimen characteristics Several strategies which have been used for the simplification of a regimen have now become practices that are well-standardized. Take for instance; adherence is improved when the patient has to take a single pill per day. When the frequency of a drug cannot be decreased, it should be matched with the daily activities of the patient (Maluf, 2015). It is likely that patients would remember to take a medicine when it is specified before or after meals. Imparting knowledge Adherence is positively related to the treatments and understanding of the conditions by the patients. According to several studies, the instructions in the prescription are not often understood by the patients and they tend to forget what they are advised by the healthcare professionals. Modification of human behavior and beliefs For complicated interventions, healthcare professionals should address the self-efficacy, intentions and beliefs of the patients. In order to improve the adherence, all the barriers should be identified and suitable measures must be implemented. Barriers might include poor communication between the health provider and patient, insufficient knowledge about a medicine and its use, not properly ready for the mode of treatment, long term drug intakes, scared of the side effects of drug, complicated regimes which involve several medications with differing schedules of dosage along with barriers of access and cost. Leaving bias Researches on adherence revealed that personality traits and demography are influencers in adherence. Evaluation of adherence It should be noted that the problem of non-adherence is ignored to some extent by doctors. The problem cannot be corrected if it goes unrecognized. The fears and concerns can be reduced by informing the patients about the side effects of a particular medicine and ways to prevent the adverse effects. Often complexity in the regime of medication negatively impacts adherence. Hence, the regime needs modification so that the frequency could be reduced and combination products should be used, if applicable (Haskard-Zolnierek, 2012). This method requires the assistance of the patient, thus, highlighting their role in the management of diseases. As a conclusion, it can be stated that non-adherence by patients is a global medical problem and occurs due to various interrelated causes. Although compliance can be increased by informing the patient about the condition but medical adherence is increased by proper support and motivation and usage of compliance aids. One of Macbeth’s first soliloquies shows us that he has frightening thoughts, as the idea of murder has slipped into his mind. Although the witches did not suggest murder, Macbeth starts to think solemnly about killing King Duncan. Near the beginning of his first soliloquy, he says: ‘If good, why do I yield to that suggestion Whose horrid image doth unfix my hair And make my seated heart knock at my ribs, Against the use of nature?’ Macbeth is showing here that deep inside him, there are forces that want him to take action to become King, even if this action is murder. In a way, this scares him, as it would you or me if in his position. It is already starting to show that he is brave in battle, but fragile in mind. Macbeth’s conscience works well for him at first by helping him reject the idea of murder, as Macbeth tells himself: ‘If I chance will have me King, why, chance may crown me, Without my stir.’ This means that if the witches’ prophecies are true, then he will become King whatever the circumstances, so he wouldn’t need to commit any crimes, for example murder. By the end of scene four, Macbeth realises that he may have to take some action to become King, whether it be murder or not. His soliloquy indicates that he wants no one to see what he feels, and what he wants to do. He admits to himself that he has black and deep desires locked up inside him, which he does not want anyone good to see, as he says: â€Å"The Prince of Cumberland! That is a step On which I must fall down, or else o’er leap, For in my way it lies. Stars hide your fires! Let not light see my black and deep desires;† From one of Macbeth and his wife’s first conversations, he proves his reluctance to give his wife a final decision on the matter. As he says: â€Å"We will speak further.† He seems to have developed an uncertainty about the situation, and fails to stand up to his wife for the first time and say, â€Å"I will not murder the King†. He hasn’t completely dismissed the subject, but so far it is in his best interests to let his wife know that he is not all for the idea of murder. This would help her understand Macbeth’s side of the story, so she would not be so much against him. At the banquet, Duncan proclaims that his son Malcolm is next in line to the throne. The example she gives of beating the brains out of her own child just proves that she is beginning to go insane and psychotic. All of this abuse from his wife defeats him and immediately alters Macbeth’s final decision and so he has agreed with his wife to kill the King. By now, Macbeth is starting to show signs of stress, for out in the courtyard, he seems to speak few words in reply to Banquo’s comments and questions. Also, he is very confused about what is going on and what he is about to do in the near future. He is convinced that he is living in his own nightmare. Macbeth is alarmed when his imagination first creates the dagger, because it is a part of his conscience and his deteriorating mental state. The hallucination he is experiencing is caused by stress. What makes the situation worse, is that his conscience is almost certainly lost now, and instead of helping him, it lures him further down the corridor. As Macbeth follows the floating dagger, it is as if the pace of his words slows down as he walks along the corridor. This is a good use of language because it makes it sound as if his steps are getting heavier. Although he was scared when the dagger originally appeared, he doesn’t seem to mind murdering his King as much as he feared before, because Shakespeare introduces a touch of sick and frightening humour into Macbeth when he says: ‘The bell invites me. Hear it not Duncan; for it is a knell That summons thee to heaven, or to hell.’ Immediately after the terrible deed is done, Macbeth begins to regret what they have planned and done. He and his wife show signs of great tension and stress, by the way they speak. Instead of speaking in an intellectual and poetic sense, they begin to talk to each other in less complex single word sentences. Although they are both tense and uncertain whether they have made the right decision or not, Lady Macbeth shows now to be the stronger partner in the duo. As a conclusion, I think that the final event that modified Macbeth’s decision was the speech from Lady Macbeth. When she used emotional blackmail, insulted his manlihood, and said she’d even kill her own baby in order to keep her word, she completely turned Macbeth around. Although this was the main turning point for Macbeth’s lifestyle, there were many other factors that influenced his final decision to commit the crime of murder. All this so far has come together to prove that Macbeth maybe strong and valiant on the outside and very mentally stable and confident in battle, but he just can’t stand up to his wife. This may be because he doesn’t want to lose his wife, or it could mean that he is just mentally weak when it comes to his emotional situations. This shows that he has very little will power and is an emotional coward. All of the Shakespearean plays end in tragedy, and Macbeth was not an exception. Macbeth, as the main character, and also a battle-scared hero, is the person whose life ends in tragedy. He enters the play as a ‘valiant’, and ‘brave’ man, but ends up a twisted wreckage of a hero who once was.

My Public and Private School Experience Photo by å‘ ¨ Ã¥ º · on Pexels.com When I started school I was a kindergartner at Calvary Christian School. It is a private school with about 200-300 students. I went from kindergarten until my freshman year was over. The dress code was a red, white, or blue polo shirt with a Navy Gabardine Box Pleated Jumper or Hamilton Plaid Knife Pleated Jumper for girls from kinder to eighth grade. The boys wore the same shirts with Navy Hawthorne Pleated pants from kinder to senior year. Once a girl reached 9th-12th grade they would wear skirts. The school subjects did not have a variety to choose from. Bible, Math, History, Science, P.E. and Fine Arts were the main classes provided. We all took the same classes together while not having the option of taking any ap classes. I joined the volleyball team but due to my grades my 9th grade year I could not play and I found out on the last day of school that I was going to have to take summer school or get held back. My parents didn’t take that well at all and decided to take me out. I was shocked about the news and began to worry about what is going to happen for the next school year and were I was going to attend. Luckily my mom works for the Beaumont school district and I got transfered over to Beaumont High School because at the time we were living in Banning Ca. I knew that getting adjusted to a new school and people was going to be nerve wracking but I will be gaining a new experience I never had before and I may end up liking it. Beaumont High School had around 2,000-3,000 students, no dress code limitations, counselors and a variety of classes to take. The first day of high school came around I was nervous but excited. When I got ready I remember wearing a black and white t-shirt with light blue shorts and some vans. The first day was a bit embarrassing because my fly was down the entire time and I never noticed it until I dressed out for P.E. even though we weren’t even supposed to dress out. As the weeks and months went by I felt more comfortable, I got used to it very quickly and made new friends along the way. What I learned about diversity from my point of view was the change and the adaptation I was going to have to make. I think that change is very good because it can help you grow, offer new opportunities, it can show progress and new beginnings. Others have helped me with encouragement about going to public school. My family would talk about some things they went through. My Aunt Anita in particular told me that she had to get adjusted to high school when she went while being in public all of her life. She said â€Å" Everyone goes through different stages in their life and starting of high school is one of them and you will get through it and it will be a breeze as time goes on.† I think talking to others about my situation was very beneficial because I got a look of what some of my family have went through and also one of my friends that was currently attending Calvary Christian School. Sarah Weeks and I were the only ones that stayed at that school until high school and we always thought we were going to graduate together. I attended her graduation and it was crazy seeing her up their and realizing we are finishing high school separately. We were both happy and sad that we didn’t graduate together but most importantly were still friends and still reminisce on the little things that happened throughout the years. What I learned the most from attending both of these schools is that you can succeed wherever you go and still learn new things in the process you just have to be determined wherever you go and learn from it. I believe that my experience can show others what kind of change I went through and it ended up being very positive than I thought and people should be open to it in different situations and they should step out of their comfort zone once in awhile because you can gain something out of it and can also share your own story to others whether it be good or bad because every experience is different. I have always wondered how different it would be if I went to public school first and eventually being placed in a private school because it would be a very different encounter and just adjusting to a new routine would take time for me to get used to. My sister was placed in private school for about a year and then started in public and will continue to go there. She is in the first grade right now, but its interesting to know how different both of our experiences were from each others. I would say going to public school has helped me become open to meeting new people and talking to others. I remember being very shy and to myself most of the time but eventually got the courage to be more outgoing. I think going to the private school for so long I was already used to everyone so I wasn’t as shy and to myself because I knew a lot of the people at such a young age. It was hard at first because I didn’t know anyone from bhs and I had to put myself more out there and I really didn’t want to. By opening myself to others I felt like they were really understanding who I am and what type of person I was which made made everything positive. Going to completely different schools is hard but it is doable if you put yourself out there you may have to change somethings in your daily life than you are used to but it can be beneficial to you and give you a new perspective like the school topics, dress code and the different types of people you encounter.

Drama Coursework: Response Phase The play that we have been work-shopping is ‘Legal Weapon’ by Mark Wheeler. This play at first appears to be concerned with road safety but under further study we see that it deals with guilt and denial, family loss and retribution. We have several central roles, Andy is the speeding driver and Jazz is his girlfriend who’s seeing a footballer called Matt whose brother was killed by a drug addict driver. Kelly is the learner driver who is tragically killed by Andy, her father, Brian, who desperately wants retribution for the death of Kelly. There is a narrator character known only as â€Å"A† she is omnipotent and described all the characters feelings throughout the play and gives us a summary of what is about to happen. We have also studied a play called Too much Punch for Judy which deals with similar issues in a very much different way. From this play, my group and I saw the possibilities for lots of explorative strategies for example cross cutting and marking significant moments. We work shopped different sections of the play, the first section, Loves Young Dream was cross cut with section 2: Apart. We decided from the outset that we wouldn’t use much set or costume to keep the attention of the audience on the action and to emphasize the areas that need to be central. We also work-shopped the section with the actual accident in it, Section 3: Fatality was we cross cut with some of section 4: Outcast. We used a lot of still image in our workshop mostly to portray a sense of fear in the piece. In Section 4 + 5 we began with a still image of three separate stages of the drama piece as a way to mark the moment. CSL was Alex in the role of Andy driving his car, carefree and happy driving along the road, this is set seconds before he tops the ridge and hits Kelly, before the freeze, Alex for a few seconds made driving sounds and turned his imaginary steering wheel before freezing. Most of the stage was in darkness with a bright spot on Alex. The light went off on him and a spot then came up on Jenna as Kelly in the centre of the stage facing away from the audience Sally was a concerned bystander running towards her; this scene is just after the accident, Sally being a witness to the crime. As Sally reaches the stricken Jenna she freezes with a look of panic and a blackout ensues. The spot comes up on Aaron and I walking as a funeral procession with

French Cuisine is one of the most popular types of food around these days and is known worldwide for its quality. The French gained their techniques through history in pretty much one form. They got most of their notoriety because of the fact that they were ruled by so many different people. There were many different countries and groups of people who conquered the French region throughout the past 2000 years. So each time a new ruler conquered them new ideas and techniques were introduced to the French cuisine.France is said to have begun their culinary art in he 16th century by the wife of Henry II, Catherine de Medicis. They brought personal cooks with them wherever they went. Later on as it became more solidified French Cuisine had cookbooks being made in the 19th century. La Cuisine Classique by Urbain Dubois and Emile Bernard. In the book they suggested serving food while still hot and were criticized heavily for it but the French enjoyed it and its now adopted worldwide by eve ryone. An average day in France begins with breakfast, which is known as le petit d ©Jeuner.This usually consists of coffee or hot chocolate, and sometimes a croissant which is made of a flaky, butter-based pastry or bread. Pain au chocolat is like a croissant but has a chocolate filling. Lunch is pretty laid back. It usually begins with hors d'oeuvre, or appetizers. Meat or fish follows, and the meal ends with cheese, fruit, or sometimes a dessert. After school many kids eat a generally healthy snack of fruit or some bread to tide them over. This is known as le go?ter. The evening meal is when whole family gets together and talks about their day. This always has a few courses.Most dinners end with wine and a desert of some sort. L'Ap ©ritif is a national custom in France. It occurs before the meal where the family gathers about a half an hour or so before a meal to share a drink, a small appetizer, and conversation with family, friends, and neighbors. It is an established socia l activity which is enjoyed by people of all ages, and which forms an important part of home life and in restaurants. There are many dishes that are either rare or exclusive to the French people. For example, Pot au Feu is dish of simmered meats and vegetables.Bouillabaisse is from The Provence and region and is made with fish, often with their heads, and shellfish in a spicy soup. Sauces are exclusive to the region they are from. Horseradish is from the Alsace region, mustard is from the Dijon region, Aioli is from provence, and rouille from Languedoc. These are perfect examples of region specific foods. Meats used in France are similar to the sauces. Ducks and Geese are common ingredients in meals unlike most parts of the world. Many of the stews created in France are not eaten in the United states.The Vegetable stews usually don't cross the Atlantic Ocean. Belgian Endive and Swiss Chard are made only in France. Cheese is another exclusive product. It is made in the Northern regio n and France is known for these cheeses. Muenster cheese now worldwide was born in Northern France. Swiss Cheese and German cheese are often imitated and popular in France. Bread is extremely popular in France and there are many specialties. A baguette is a long thin piece of bread Icing and many sugar toppings are added to bread to make it a dessert in many parts of France.France has many original pieces of food that have been imitated but they are always known for their quality. This has a lot to do with the type of training the Chefs go through. Most go through at least a 3-4 year program which includes hotel management. Then they have an internship type program afterward to give them hands-on experience. Holidays such as Bastille day cause the French to go all out. Everyone either cooks or attends a huge meal for family and friends. Christmas dinner is similar to the U. S. whereas close family get together and have a long meal with numerous courses.These usually last for a long time because they chat a lot on these special occasions. France's cuisine is very popular, and at the same time very expensive. Haute Cuisine was created and means Gourmet cooking. It always uses premium ingredients and no one ever complains about it never tasting bad. But the French are quick to critique a bad meal. It is not considered very disrespectful to tell the cook you did not like the meal. The French are different than everyone else in almost everything they do, including how they act and how they cook.

Tycho Brahe is remembered for many things: his golden nose, his ignominious death, and his famous last words. All of these things have gone down in history. However, Tycho Brahe was well-known in his time as a respected and well-paid astronomer. His observations were second to none. He was unsatisfiable and meticulous in his profession, building two of the finest observatories of his time, the second because the first was not up to his own high standards. He is still regarded as one of the best naked-eye observationalists of all time (Burke-Gaffney, 153). Tycho was born in 1546 to Otto Brahe and Beate Bille, along with a twin brother who died before baptism. Tycho began to gain fame as an astronomer after reporting on a â€Å"new star† in 1572. Tycho saw a very bright star in Cassiopeia on November 11th, 1572. It began to fade in brightness early the next year, and was only as bright as Polaris within six months. He also reported on the color changes, from brilliant white to yellow to red and back to red within that same six months (Hall 274). These careful observations helped springboard his career as an astronomer, and he published his findings on â€Å"De Nova Stella† or â€Å"the New Star† in 1574. His publication also tried to shed light on the astrological implications of this star. Tycho predicted strong cosmic influences in Scandinavia and a new order in Europe. He also implied that he knew how to better understand astrology, but made no attempts to either explain this better astrology in writing or to give any sort of temporal indication for his new order.
